Cargo: Shipping cargo (except listed separately) in railway rolling stocks, containers and trucks.

1. Freight rates for transportation of railcars with a number of axles not exceeding 4

1.1. Shipping cargo (except listed separately) in railway rolling stock with length between automatic coupling points up to 16999 mm – USD 2700 per railcar

1.2. Shipping cargo (except listed separately) in railway rolling stock with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 17000 and 23999 mm – USD 3300 per railcar

1.3.Shipping cargo (except listed separately) in railway rolling stock with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 24000 and 30000 mm – USD 3800 per railcar

1.4. Shipping cargo in refrigerating railway rolling stock:

1.4.1. Shipping cargo in ARV or a freight unit of a refrigerating section – USD 4100 per railcar

1.4.2. Shipping diesel generator unit of a refrigerating section – USD 2700 per railcar

In case a refrigerating railcar is shipped instead of a covered railcar provided by schedule and requires no temperature setting while transportation, then a freight rate provided for under 1.2. “Marine freight rates for shipping cargo with Ilyichevsk-Batumi/Poti – Ilyichevsk, Kerch-Poti /Batumi-Kerch as from 01.04.2012” (hereinafter referred to as “Rates”) will be applicable.

1.5. Shipping empty rolling stock as a self-rolling cargo (except rail wagons transiting ferry service in loaded condition and rail wagons that are shipped upon an agreement to be consequently loaded for shipment by ferries USD 850 per railcar.

1.6. Shipping spirits, spirit-based technical liquids, alcoholic beverages (except wine and beer), cognac products – USD 4950/railway car

1.7. Shipping locomotive (including units with more than 4 axles)

1.7.1. Shipping locomotive , weight 80 -126 mts - 2900 USD/railway car

1.7.2. Shipping locomotive, weight 127-150 mts - 3900 USD/railway car

1.7.3. Shipping locomotive, weight 151-252 mts - 4900 USD/railway car

1.8. Shipping hazardous 1st class IMO Railway cargo - enlarged coefficient=3.0 to basic freight rates

1.9. Shipping spirits, spirit-based liquids in tank railways - 3550 USD/railway car

1.10. Shipping off-gauge and heavyweight cargo:

Shipping off-gauge and heavyweight cargo is agreed in compliance with Instruction on transportation of off-gauge and heavyweight cargo over railways of CIS members, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia as approved on the 30th meeting of Railway Counsel of CIS-members on October 19, 2001.

Freight rates for shipping off-gauge cargo with 4-axle flatcar or gondola car is determined as follows:

1.10.1. Shipping off-gauge railway cargo with oversize coefficient 1-2 for bottom, 1-3 for side and 1-2 for top is charged in accordance with items 1.1., 1.2, 1.3, of Rates (with no enlarged coefficient charged)

1.10.2. Shipping off-gauge railway cargo with oversize coefficient 3 for top is charged in accordance with items 1.1., 1.2, 1.3 of Rates (with an enlarged coefficient = 1,5)

1.10.3. Shipping off-gauge railway cargo with oversize coefficient 3-5 for bottom, 4-5 for sides and 1-2 for top is charged in accordance with items 1.1., 1.2, 1.3, of Rates (with an enlarged coefficient = 2)

1.10.4. Shipping off-gauge railway cargo with oversize coefficient 6 for bottom and side and super off-gauge cargo with 4-axle flatcar or gondola car, with a 4-, 6- 8-axle transporter whether being a part of freight train or propelled with a separate locomotive, shipping any cargo with a transporter with 12 or more axles and shipping cargo with hookup type transporters containing intermediate flatcars is charged on a separate basis by a shipping company.

1.10.5. Shipping off-gauge cargo with coupled railcars is charged as an aggregate of all freight rates applicable to each railcar and in accordance with the Rates. Shipping an empty back-up railcar indicated in the waybill or an empty railcar with is a check-up frame is charged USD 1700 per railcar.

1.10.6. Shipping off-gauge cargo with various coefficients for sides, bottom, top is charged with an application of the maximum coefficient.

Cargoes of military nature are shipped based on a special agreement.

1.11. As from November 01 till March 31, inclusive, a winter surcharge (WCS) is charged for shipping loaded railcars (except those cargoes for which special rates have been agreed additionally to Rates) in the amount of USd 100 per railcar.

1.12. Shipping cargo in railway rolling stock with length between automatic coupling points up to 16999 mm:

1.12.1. Grains and malt (NHM number 1001-1008, 1107) in hopper railcars – USD 2400 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.2. Rails (NHM 730210) – USD 2400 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.3. Raw sugar NHM 1701 shipped in transit through Ukraine – USD 2400 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.4. Samin (NHM 382490) - USD 4950 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.5. Intermediate fuel oil (NHM 2744) - 2700 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.6. Ferrous metal products (NHM 7201, 7203-7210, 7301-7306, 7213-7217) - 2400 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.7. Salt (NHM 2501), ferrochrome manganese (NHM 720230) - 2700 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.8. Sulphuric acid (GHN 2807) - 2200 per railcar including BAF and WSC

1.12.9. Shipping railway cargo (except IMO 1st class, off-gauge and listed separately) destined to/from or transiting through Russia with a general rolling stock with a number of axles not exceeding 4 is charged as follows:

  • with length between automatic coupling points up to 16999 mm – USD 2000 per railcar including BAF, WSC.
  • with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 17000 and 23999 mm – USD 2500 per railcar including BAF and WSC.
  • with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 24000 and 30000 mm – USD 3000 per railcar including BAF and WSC.

1.12.10. For goods (other than Class 1 classification IMO, military, oversized and separately named) carried in the rolling stock axles with no more than 4 in the direction of Poti / Batumi - Ilyichevsk transiting through Ukraine without return back through the cars ferry when empty, the following shipping rates:

  • with length between automatic coupling points up to 16999 mm – USD 2000 per railcar including BAF, WSC.
  • with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 17000 and 23999 mm – USD 2500 per railcar including BAF and WSC.
  • with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 24000 and 30000 mm – USD 3000 per railcar including BAF and WSC.

2. Freight rates for transportation of rolling vehicles

All Railway cargo and automobiles must be provided with all necessary documents for submission to customs. Transportation of one driver with a truck is included in rate for transportation of freight trucks. Driver is accommodated on an unoccupied berth as determined by the administration of the vessel.

2.1. Shipping trucks, buses and other wheeled vehicles with weight to 40mts, length to 22 m, width to 2,5 m and height to 4,2m:

Freight trucks, buses, trains and other rolling wheeled vehicles weighing up to 40 m, 4.2 m height, 2.5 m wide, 22 m long in the direction of Kerch - Poti, Poti - Kerch.

2.3. Shipping tracked vehicles

2.3.1. Shipping tracked vehicles with weight to 40mts, length to 17 m, width to 2,5 m and height to 4,2m – USD 210 for each started lane meter

2.3.2. Enlarged coefficients to rates for shipping off-gauge tracked vehicles with weight to 40mts, length to 17 m, width 2,5 -4,0 m and height to 4,2m – 5.2m

  • width coefficient K1=B/2500 rounded up to 0,1 (“B” stands for maximum width of cargo, calculated in mm)
  • height coefficient K2=H/4200 rounded up to 0,1 (“H” stands for maximum height of cargo, calculated in mm)

Freight rates for shipping off-gauge vehicles are calculated by multiplying basic rate as per item 2.3.1. with width and height coefficients.

2.4. Rates for shipping cargo in refrigerator vehicles powered by the vessel’ power supply is calculated by applying coefficient 1.2 to items 2.1 and 2.2 of Rates.

Refrigerator vehicles with engaged refrigerating unit are parked on upper deck.

2.5. Winter surcharge (hereinafter WSC) can be applied in addition to current fares for shipping trucks, buses, long vehicles and other wheeled rolling stock as determined by Addendum to Fares. Such WSC will be declared 15 days in advance of application.

2.6. Fares for shipping trucks , buses, long vehicles, with lengh to 22m, width to 2,5 m and height to 4,2 m, and gross weight to 40 t. proceeding in transit through Ukraine:

This rate is not applicable for shipping military cargoes, explosives, spirit-based substances and live stock

Wines, beer, cognacs and other spirit-based beverages (excluding spirits and spirit-based technical liquids) and proceeding in transit through Ukraine are shipped with no enlarged coefficient charged.

2.7. Rate for shipping 1st class IMO dangerous cargo or live animals is charged with enlarged coefficient 3.0 to item 2.1. of Rates.

3. Rates for shipping containers

3.1. Shipping containers (except refrigerators and transported on Railway cars):

3.2. Shipping spirits, spirit-based technical liquids, alcoholic beverages (except wine and beer), cognac products is charged with enlarged coefficient 2.0 to item 3.1. of Rates.

3.3. Rate for shipping 1st class IMO dangerous cargo or live animals is charged with enlarged coefficient 3.0 to item 3.1. of Rates.

4. Other terms:

4.1. Special rates can be agreed for certain types of cargo shipped in large volumes, single consignments utilizing full cargo capacity of vessel, based on a market situation and for particular cargo directions.

4.2. Rate for shipping cargoes not listed in “Rates” is agreed between Charterer and Shipping Company on a separate request. Shipping cargo not agreed in advance is charged as determined by the Shipping Company.

4.3. Railcar transshipment charge (THC) at the ferry terminal at Ilyichevsk marine trade port, winter surcharge (WCS) and bunker surcharge (BAF) are charged in addition to freight rates.

4.4. According to ICSP rules in addition to freight charges charterer pays ice due during ice campaign announced de facto, but not less than for 15 days. Ice charge is determined by clause 2.4. of “Fares for works and services rendered to cargo owners by marine ports in Ukraine” approved by the Order of Ministry of Transport of Ukraine dated 31 October 1995. If ice campaign is not announced as there is no ice in the water channels and the area of port, ice due is paid for a time period from February 1 to 15.

4.5. Freight, winter surcharge (WSC) and bunker surcharge (BAF) for shipping cargo in railcars are charged based on the date of departure from the loading point according to date of the stamp of departure point.

4.6. Freight, winter surcharge (WSC) and bunker surcharge (BAF) for shipping cargo in containers, trucks and other wheeled vehicles with length more than 6 m are charged based on the starting date of marine passage.
