1. Freight rates for carriage of railcars with up to 4 axles (including refrigerating section with diesel-generator):


- Carriage of goods (except listed separately) in railway wagons with length between automatic coupling points up to 16999 mm – USD 2000 per railcar;
- Carriage of goods (except listed separately) in railway wagons with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 17000 mm and 23999 mm – USD 2400 per railcar;
- Carriage of goods (except listed separately) in railway wagons with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 24000 mm and over – USD 2700 per railcar.


2. Carriage of empty rolling stock as a self-rolling cargo (except rail wagons transiting ferry service in loaded condition and rail wagons which are to be loaded for shipment by ferries):


- with length between automatic coupling points up to 16999 mm - USD 850 per railcar;
- with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 17000 mm and 23999 mm – USD 1050 per railcar;
- with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 24000 and over – USD 1200 per railcar.

3. Carriage of locomotive (including units with more than 4 axles):

- Carriage of locomotive, weight 80 -126 mts - 2900 USD/railway car;

- Carriage of locomotive, weight 127-150 mts - 4900 USD/railway car;

- Carriage of locomotive, weight 151-252 mts - 5900 USD/railway car.

4. Carriage of 1 class IMO-classified cargoes is charged with an enlarged factor of 3.0 to freight rate.


5. Carriage of oversize, overweight goods by transporter-wagon and/or chained wagons.
Carriage of oversize, overweight goods by transporter-wagon and/or chained wagons is subject to Instructions for carriage of oversize, overweight goods by within the railway network of CIS, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia as approved by the 30th meeting of Organization for co-operation between railways (OSJD) dated 19 October, 2001.
Rates for Carriage of oversize goods with 4-axle flat cars and gondola cars:

5.1. Carriage of oversize goods with oversize coefficient 1-2 for top, 1-3 for side, 1-2 for bottom is subject to item 1 of the Tariffs (with no enlarged factor applied);

5.2. Carriage of oversize goods with oversize coefficient 3 for top is subject to item 1 of the Tariffs (with an enlarged factor 1,5 applied);

5.3. Carriage of oversize goods with oversize coefficient 3-5 for bottom, 4-5 for side is subject to item 1.1., 1.2, 1.3. of The Tariffs (with an enlarged factor 2,0 applied);

5.4. Carriage of oversize goods with oversize coefficient 6 for bottom and side, with 4-, 6- or 8-axle transporter-wagons as a part of freight train or with a dedicated locomotive, arriage of any cargo with transporter-wagons 12 or more axles, carriage of cargo with chained wagons with a flat railcar in between is subject to negotiation for each shipment.

5.5. Carriage of oversize goods with oversize with chained railcars is charged as an aggregate of all freight rates applicable to each railcar and in accordance with the Tariffs. Empty railcar used as a cover and entered in a waybill or an empty railcar with a control frame is subject to item 1 of the Tariffs.

5.6. Carriage of railway cargo featuring several off-gauge factors at the same time is charged subject to the largest off-gauge factor applicable to the cargo.


6. In addition to the abovementioned maritime freight rates Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) except empty wagons and Winter Surcharge (WSC) are charged for all transportation, the amount and validity of which is revealed by a separate message from the Shipowner. Supplements are not accrued for the carriage of goods, which is contractually agreed upon by the constraints of item 8.


7. Freight rate for Carriage of goods (except those listed separately, IMO-classified cargoes and oversized goods) carried in covered wagons (including refrigerator railcars utilized as a substitute to covered wagons), gondola railcars, flat railcars, tank-wagons, hopper-wagons with the number of axes not exceeding 4 and proceeding from/to Azerbaijan in transit through Georgia and from/to the Central Asia in transit though Georgia and Azerbaijan and using rail-ferry service crossing Caspian sea (alongside the itinerary Chornomorsk-Poti/Batumi – Kuryk – Turkmenbashi /Aktau or Aktau/Turkmenbashi – Kuryk – Batumi/Poti – Chornomorsk):

- cars with length between auto-coupling points up to 16999mm – USD 1900 (inclusive of BAF, WSC, terminal handling charge in Batumi)

- cars with length between auto-coupling points 17000 mm up to 19999 mm – USD 2200 (inclusive of BAF, WSC, terminal handling charge in Batumi)

- cars with length between auto-coupling points 20000 mm and over – USD 2500 (inclusive of BAF, WSC, terminal handling charge in Batumi).

8. Freight rate for the carriage of goods (except for dangerous goods according to the classification of IMO, military, oversized cargoes) from Batumi to Chornomorsk destination on Ukraine in the Ukrainian wagons (including covered wagons, gondola-wagons, platform-wagons, tank-wagons, hopper-wagons, etc. with the number of axes not more than 4, regardless of the form of ownership) or in another railcars without returning in an empty state through a ferry crossing:

• railway wagons with length between automatic coupling points up to 16999 mm - 1000 USD (including BAF, WSC);

• railway wagons with length between automatic coupling points ranging from 17000 mm and 23999 mm - 1200 USD (including BAF, WSC);

• railway wagons with length between automatic coupling points ranging more than 24000 mm - 1350 USD (including BAF, WSC).


9. Special rates can be approved by carriage of companies for certain types of cargo shipped in significant volumes; for single cargo consignments utilizing full vessel’s cargo capacity and subject to a market situation.


10. Rates for carriage of cargoes not listed in “Freight Rates” section are subject to a special agreement between Charterer and Carrier. There being no prior agreement, carriage is charged at discretion of Carrier.


11. Railcar transshipment charge (THC) at the ferry terminal at Chornomorsk marine trade port is charged in addition to freight rates.


12. Freight, WSC and BAF for carriage of cargo in railcars are charged based on the date of departure from the loading point as indicated by the date of the stamp of departure point.

Other terms

Special rates can be approved by shipping companies for certain types of cargo shipped in large volumes; for single cargo consignments utilizing full vessel’s cargo capacity and subject to a market situation.

Rates for shipping cargoes not listed in “Freight Rates” section are subject to a special agreement between Shipper and Carrier. There being no prior agreement, carriage is charged at discretion of Carrier.

Railcar transshipment charge (THC) at the ferry terminal at Chornomorsk marine trade port, winter surcharge (WCS) is charged in addition to freight rates.

The winter surcharge (WSC) for the carriage of wagons (with the exception of wagons transported by special stations, including the winter surcharge) is introduced from Nov 01.2018 till Mar 31, 2019 in the amount of 100 USD / unit ..

Freight and WSC for shipping cargo in railcars are charged based on the date of departure from the loading point as indicated by the date of the stamp of departure point.

f) From 01.04.2019, a “bunker surcharge” (BAF) is introduced for the transportation of:

  • trucks with / without drivers and other rolling technology up to 11 meters in length (inclusive) - in the amount of 6 USD / each started linear meter of length
  • trucks with / without drivers and other rolling technology with a length of over 11 meters - in the amount of 85 USD / unit.

g) The carriage is effected on terms and subject to exclusions and limitations of liability provided for by the Hague-Visby Rules.

The actual rates apply if the period between the date of commencement of the maritime carriage on the first flight and the date of commencement of the sea transportation in the second flight (reverse transportation) in which the passenger travels with the corresponding vehicle does not exceed 30 calendar days. In case if this term exceeds 30 calendar days - the tariff of freight rates for transportation in each direction is carried out in accordance with paragraph 1. of real Tariffs.
