Discounts for Carriage of Vehicles of All Types As From June 1, 2020

The sea freight rates are on berth terms (including all terminal charges in the port of Chernomorsk and in the port of Poti/Batumi) for carriage of any motorcars (including those with trailers), minibuses, buses, camper vans, motorcycles, motor scooters (with a driver) by the m/v “Greifswald”, m/v “Vilnius”, m/v “Kaunas” on the Georgian line as from June 1, 2020.   

The round voyage sea freight rates are applicable to cases when a period between a date of commencement of a carriage by sea in the first voyage and a date of commencement of a carriage by sea in the second voyage (i.e., a carriage in the reverse direction) where a passenger follows with his/her vehicle, does not exceed 30 calendar days. In the event that this period exceeds 30 calendar days, a one-way freight rate is applicable. 

Remarks:

a) The sea freight rates shall include any terminal charges in the ports of loading and unloading and the bunker adjustment factor (BAF) (a fare for drivers shall be paid separately at the current passenger rates). 

b) Cargos destined for military use shall be transported subject to a specific approval and at the specific contractual rates. 

c) All cargos and vehicles shall be accompanied with all documents required for performance of the customs formalities.

d) Vehicles’ width shall be measured with their side mirrors folded in. 

e) Transportation shall be effected on the terms and conditions and with due regard to all the exceptions and restrictions of liability as provided for in the Hague-Visby Rules.
